Description
The Aqua Rebell CO2 Permanent Test Solution "CO2 Check - 20 mg per litre" or "30 mg per litre" can be filled into any standard CO2 permanent test and serves for the long-term monitoring of the CO2 level in aquariums. An optimal CO2-supply is essential for the thriving of aquatic plants and should therefore be continuously monitored. The advantage of the CO2 Permanent Test Solution is that the determination of the CO2-supply takes place independently of the aquarium water, thus substances such as humic acids cannot affect the CO2 check.
Available in a 250 ml container.
A pipette for filling the permanent test is included in the delivery.
Application
The permanent test is filled with 1 - 2 ml of the CO2 Permanent Test Solution and then positioned in a well-circulated area in the aquarium. After about 1 - 2 hours, the CO2 content of the aquarium water can be read. A green colour indicates an optimal CO2-supply of approximately 20 mg/l or 30 mg/l.
A CO2 permanent test is very useful in an aquarium. Often, aquatic plants lack the essential CO2, preventing optimal growth. With a CO2 permanent test, the CO2 level can be controlled with sufficient accuracy. The dye bromothymol blue used has the property of changing colour in a defined pH range.
CO2 diffuses from the aquarium water through the air bubble in the permanent test into the test solution and vice versa. Depending on its CO2 content, the pH value of the test liquid and thus its colour changes. A defined carbonate hardness in the test liquid determines at which CO2 concentration a certain pH value is established. The test solutions "CO2 Check 20 mg per litre" and "30 mg per litre" turn light green when their pH value is around 6,6. This is achieved at a CO2 concentration of 20 mg/l or 30 mg/l. For this reason, the test solution "CO2 Check 20 mg per litre" or "30 mg per litre" indicates a light green tone at a CO2 value of the aquarium water of 20 mg/l or 30 mg/l. If the CO2-supply in the aquarium is less than 20 or 30 mg per litre, the test reagent remains blue; if the CO2-supply exceeds the mark of 20 or 30 mg per litre, the test reagent turns yellow.

Unfortunately the Mini version whistled very loudly for me even after a few days. Possibly because of the very small "pressure chamber". It was replaced. Unfortunately I can't recommend it. But it works and the bubble pattern is very nice too.

With a shelf life of 2 years, 250 ml is simply too much. The liquid would have to be replaced every 2-3 months. With a fill volume of approx. 3 ml in the drop checker, that would be approx. 83 fills. Does what it's supposed to, and as always very well. I've always been able to rely on it so far. The bottle lasts a very long time.
Fill the liquid into the drop checker with the pipette, after 2-3 hours you can assess the CO2 level of the water.

I've had several CO2 checker liquids before... none of them really worked. Either they were sluggish or they didn't show at all what the CO2 level was. With this liquid it works without any problems. Extremely happy with it!
Does what it's supposed to do! Filling is very easy with the included super-fine pipette. A cheaper option with less content would be desirable. Especially for smaller aquariums/scapes with the very small indicators, you'll never finish this bottle.
Anyone working with CO2 in the tank should get this check liquid. Much more cost-effective than the small ampoules from other manufacturers. Very easy to put into the drop checker with a pipette.

The indicator liquid works flawlessly. I find the price equally reasonable. Since you only need a few ml for the CO2 check, the liquid will last a very long time.
This test liquid is great, works and has surely proven itself a thousand times over! And even though I tend to buy more rather than less, I still don't want to leave my great-grandchildren a half-full bottle of Aqua Rebel CO2 Check.
Practically THE recommended test solution on the market. If you compare prices, a quality product is being sold here at a bargain price. I'm satisfied with the indicator solution, but it doesn't show the CO2 level correctly after approx. 2 hours as stated on the package, but after approx. 8-10 hours for me, so be patient if it doesn't react right away.

I used to buy indicators, and as soon as a CO2 drop checker came loose on its own, I had to walk to the pet store and buy new indicators. With this I can save myself the trip when a suction cup comes loose on its own. I have many CO2 drop checkers in operation, so it's ideal for me.
I find the amount of CO2 more than sufficient, so I chose 20mg instead of 30mg.
Everything is growing wonderfully and the liquid is changed regularly.
It works and the price is great. This will definitely last me a little while. What more could you want. Recommended!
At first it seems like the colors are rather weak. After 2 days it worked, though, and now you can see it very well. The amount for the price is excellent.

I really wonder who needs 250ml, but the solution does what it should and quite reliably. People around me would have liked to buy the liquid as well, but the large amount puts almost everyone off.

Test liquid changes color pretty much exactly at 20mg/L. For me I could read the color change quite precisely. Not a dark green, but rather a really juicy green (at approx. 24mg/L CO2). Very easy to understand and the 1ml pipette is included. 250ml is a bit of an overkill, since you put approx. 2ml into the tester and basically never have to change it. For the price, however, highly recommended
Unfortunately the 250ml is probably enough for my entire life, but the price is okay. You could nicely split the 250ml by 4 if you have aquarist friends who also use CO2 pressurized gas. Delivered fast as always and good quality. I just don't understand why there's no bottle with 25 mg per liter, when the ideal range is between 20 and 30. Or can I pour a bottle of 20 and 30 mg per liter together and then have the 25 version?
CO2 Check is excellent and there's nothing to complain about. Only, the bottle should also come in a smaller size. Unless you want to have plenty in stock :-)

I use the CO2 liquid in 54 l and 260 l. Faster and more reliable color change. Would buy again, but probably not anytime soon, given how long it goes. :-)
A very good product with a long indicator interval. A pipette for refilling is included. You can save yourself the trial and the money with other indicators and just get this right away. The handling in combination with an externally hanging indicator is much more pleasant.

I have a glass drop checker hanging in all my tanks. When I saw this offer, I had to buy it. Considering what the liquid from de***le costs, the value for money is absolutely excellent! I use a bit more of the liquid per checker so I can see the color better. The color change is very easy to see.
Value for money couldn't be much better... I change the liquid every 14 days after cleaning my glassware... The bottle easily lasts several years

Thanks to the lighter color it is very easy to read in all containers; compared to the Dennerle liquid, the one from Dennerle is dark green and the JBL liquid almost black-green. So Aqua Rebell can be used in all containers.

The liquid comes with an enclosed disposable pipette that makes filling the drop checker no problem. Well, what is there to say about drop checker solution. It reliably does what it's supposed to, and at a pretty good price. The amount lasts a very long time for me.
This test liquid is not only very reasonably priced but also easy to read. The fact that it can also be used in devices from other manufacturers is a big advantage.
Filled the test solution into the measuring vessel and hung it in the aquarium. It didn't take long and it changed color. Great product.

This CO2 test is easy to handle and lasts a very long time compared to other tests. For tanks with fish, I definitely recommend the 20 mg/l version here, since you can detect a harmful CO2 level early, and it's more than enough even for heavily planted tanks.

I use the test liquid in the glass drop checker. According to KH/pH measurement, the color change from blue through turquoise to green occurs sufficiently accurately from 15 to 20 mg/l CO². The NKP fertilizer is ideal for a heavily planted aquarium with few fish. Since I've been using it, all plants grow noticeably better and faster, and even yellow spots on Hemianthus are a thing of the past.
Very good drop checker solution in the usual good Aqua Rebell/Aquasabi quality. If you follow the recommendation to replace the test solution in the drop checker every month, this bottle will last for the next 10-20 years.

Well, in combination with the drop checker, a very accurate display (a control measurement against another test was OK, but those don't hold up as long in terms of durability, so the CO2 Check from Aquasabi is highly recommended.

I've been using the CO2 Check for a month and it's a very good control on a chemical basis compared to physical measuring. It's reliable and its response time (color change) is in an acceptable range.

Used in my Dropchecker Nano. Best readable from the "front" (view onto the bulb with the funnel behind it). From the side the color is harder to judge. For filling the drop checker, a thin plastic Pasteur pipette is very useful.

Unbeatable value for money, only the coloring could be a bit more intense, but that's easily improved with a few pH test drops, or alternatively add bromothymol blue from the pharmacy.

I put the test in the Den***le egg. At first the color rendering was too weak for me as well. Then I filled in 3 ml instead of the recommended 2 ml and placed the egg in the lower half of the tank. The solution will last me until the year 2525. A smaller package size would be better. I'll probably mix the next solution myself.

Works well and I think the price is unbeatable. A somewhat more precise color / value indication would be nice. Not just
blue too little, green optimal, yellow too much.
