Description
In a planted tank, the micronutrients added by tap water or fish food might not be sufficient, and the plants’ growth will be less than optimal. Mikro Spezial Eisen adds the important micronutrients of iron and manganese to the aquarium. This fertilizer is rich in less strongly stabilised iron and manganese compounds that can be used by plants in an especially efficient way. However, this fertilizer should only be used together with a complete fertilizer.
Use primarily to alleviate or to prevent an iron deficiency. Weekly water changes of 25 - 50% are recommendable in order to prevent micronutrient accumulations in your tank water.
Mikro Spezial Eisen has been designed for a targeted additional fertilization with the essential micronutrient iron. Besides iron, the important trace element manganese is also contained in this fertilizer. It guarantees a healthy, lush growth of your water plants.
Especially if your water plant's leaves are light-coloured and bleached out, or if red plants look rather brown instead of red, this iron fertilizer can be of help. It primarily supplies your water plants with bivalent iron, which can be used by water plants especially efficiently. Mikro Spezial Eisen is highly concentrated - very small amounts are sufficient to meet your plants’ iron requirements.
Normally, their iron supply should be covered either by our Mikro Spezial Flowgrow or Mikro Basic Eisenvolldünger. Only in special situations, if the tanks require more iron, this fertilizer ought to be used. Aqua Rebell does not give a dosage suggestion in this case, as it has to be highly individually dosed, depending on your tanks‘ requirements.
Iron should primarily be added by a complete fertilizer, which contains not only iron but also many other important trace elements, such as our Mikro Basic Eisenvolldünger or the Mikro Spezial Flowgrow.

I use it after the weekly water change, since I have a lot of stem plants and I cut them in half in height. I use the iron that is absorbed quickly. Two days later I start again with Eisen Basic until the next water change. Currently has a good effect.
Fairly inexpensive, high-dose and weakly chelated iron fertilizer that can directly contribute to the iron supply. When using this fertilizer, don't forget to fertilize at the same time with (all the other necessary) micronutrients.
Highly recommended in combination with or alongside other Aqua Rebell products, and it's important to always observe the dosages.
I have a Juwel Trigon 190 planted tank... For ages I had been struggling with magnesium deficiency and consequently iron deficiency. I was fertilizing with Mikro Spezial Flowgrow and had eventually increased the dose to 6 ml/100, but the iron deficiency still wouldn't go away, the leaves stayed… (read more)
I've tried several iron products and my water always turned cloudy after adding the iron, that hasn't happened to me with this product yet.
Perfect iron fertilizer for daily iron dosing to keep everything under control, but that's exactly where there's a major point of criticism that is absolutely misleading and, in my opinion, wrong. I moved away from this fertilizer and switched to ADA products.
It's good and does its job, that much is certain.
Can highly recommend the iron fertilizer, in combination with an NPK fertilizer and CO2 my plants simply thrive and have a beautiful color
Since I started using this fertilizer I can literally watch my plants grow!
And a definite plus, it's potassium-free, which you usually bring in more than enough of through other fertilizers!

When I set up my tank anew in February of this year, I switched to AR products. I've never had such wonderful plant growth before. Totally satisfied.

Unfortunately the info sheet (0.5-1 ml / 50 l ) gives different dosage information than the canister (10 ml/100 l) of the product. The dosage on the canister is clearly too high !! I use it together with other AR single fertilizers to set the desired values at water changes – very good results.

Smells really disgusting, iron content noticeably goes up. You just have to add a small dose to the water daily! When I fertilized I had more algae growth... does it come from the fertilizer??
