Vladimir Fitz and Aquascaping
Vladimir Fitz is an especially creative aquascaper who likes playing with new ideas and who is himself one of the thoughtleaders when it comes to optimising an aquascape. Especially new and unconventional ways of realising a layout are his main focus of interest.
The Aqua Rebell team was especially interested to know how Vladimir found the hobby of aquascaping and what else he's interested in.
"Fellow aquarists call me Vladi. I was born in 1983, and for now I'm living in Goettingen. Since 2009 I've been a registered "waterplant addict", a member of www.flowgrow.de. I like to talk to the people there, to help them and to learn from them, too.
I also like to torture motors and dabble with everything that I can get my hands on."
The Aqua Rebell team asked Vladi how he got to know about the fertilizers by Aqua Rebell.
"Of course, because I know how much fertilizer I have to add, and - most importantly - I know what exactly I'm adding to my tanks. On many packages you only read promises with which I cannot really do something"
Ground cover battle island
Vladi's tank made fourth place in "The Art of the planted Aquarium 2011" very justifiably - his innovative decoration convinced the judges. All the waterplants were pre-cultured in Vladi's home on a blue filter mat that could be entirely taken out of the tank. This enabled Vladi to bring a perfectly created layout with really nice aquatic plants in their submerged forms to Hannover.
The waterplants were exclusively fertilized with products of Aqua Rebell. As there is no substrate other than the filter mat, all the nutrients were exclusively supplied with Aqua Rebell fertilizers.
Pathetic fallacy
This aquascape is oriented on a rather new layout style that brings a lot of perspective to a design. Tall plants in the foreground and very low ones in the background give a sense of vastness to this tank.
Natural Beauty
This tank is more of a natural style and conveys a somewhat wild feeling. The rather slow-growing ferns and Anubias complement each other very well and give the layout a very attractive look that requires only very little maintenance.
